Assessment is not completion
Active Auto accepts walk-ins and can provide same-day assessment subject to vehicle scope and workshop load. That does not mean the repair, final quote or insurer approval is completed the same day. The repair estimate follows the evidence available at assessment.
The main timing dependencies
Diagnosis can require reproducing an intermittent fault. Parts may need confirmation or sourcing. Accident repairs can require hidden-damage review, insurer authority and supplements. Paint, calibration, specialist work and final checks can create additional dependencies.
Ask for four milestones
Request confirmation when assessment is complete, when the written scope is approved, when required parts and external authority are ready, and when final checks support handover. If a milestone changes, ask which dependency changed and whether the scope or price also changes.
A responsible completion estimate
The estimate should belong to the specific vehicle and repair. It should distinguish workshop work from insurer, supplier or specialist dependencies and avoid presenting an optimistic target as a guarantee. Fleet or rental status does not create an automatic priority promise.
Still Not Sure? Just Ask.
Every car is different. Send the make, model, year, symptom and any useful photos. The team will explain whether the next evidence-bearing step is a workshop assessment or a written vehicle-specific quote.
Frequently asked questions
Can Active Auto repair my car the same day?
Same-day assessment may be available, but repair timing depends on the diagnosed scope, parts, approvals and workshop load. Confirm the vehicle-specific estimate.
How long does accident repair take?
There is no fixed website duration. Damage, hidden findings, parts, insurer authority, specialist work and final checks determine the estimate.
Why can a completion estimate change?
New diagnostic evidence, hidden damage, parts availability or external approvals can change it. The workshop should explain the changed dependency and obtain approval for added scope.
Do fleet vehicles automatically get priority?
No blanket priority is promised. Any capacity or scheduling arrangement should be confirmed in writing for the account and vehicle.
