Frequently asked questions

What's the difference between Silver, Gold, and Platinum?

Silver covers the engine, drivetrain, and core mechanical systems. Gold adds the electrical system, steering, suspension, and AC — the expensive-to-fix systems on high-mileage vehicles. Platinum adds consumables (brake pads, filters, clutch, etc.), ECU and key chip system, and free roadside towing.

How long does the contract last?

1 year from the date of signing, or 30,000 km — whichever comes first. If you drive 30,000 km in 6 months, coverage ends at that point even though the year isn't up.

Why is a pre-contract inspection required?

We inspect the car to document its current mechanical condition. Any pre-existing faults are listed and excluded from coverage — so there's no dispute later if something related goes wrong. It's in your interest too.

Can I use another workshop while on the contract?

No — the contract requires that Active Auto is your exclusive service provider for mechanical, electrical, body, paint, and repair work during the coverage period. The only exception is if an insurer specifically mandates another workshop for an accident repair.

What happens if I sell the car?

The contract transfers to the new owner for AED 250. The remaining coverage period carries over to them — it can make the car more attractive to buyers.

Will you use original OEM parts for covered repairs?

Not necessarily. We may use commercial parts from reputable manufacturers or compatible parts from a donor vehicle of similar age and condition. If you want OEM parts specifically, they're available at an additional cost.

What vehicles are eligible?

All makes and models that pass the pre-contract inspection. Vehicles with significant pre-existing faults may have those components excluded — or may be ineligible for certain plans. We'll tell you clearly at inspection.

What happens if I miss a service?

Missing a scheduled service (6 months or 10,000 km, whichever comes first) can invalidate your contract. We'll remind you when service is due — but ultimately it's your responsibility to maintain the schedule.
