Frequently asked questions
What tint percentage is legal in the UAE?
UAE RTA regulations require a minimum of 30% VLT (Visible Light Transmission) on front side windows. Rear side and rear windows have no minimum — but very dark rear glass can attract attention. We always advise on what's road-legal.
What's the difference between ceramic and carbon tint?
Ceramic tint offers superior heat rejection (often 40–60% more effective than standard film) with no interference with mobile signals, GPS, or TPMS. It costs more but performs significantly better in Dubai heat.
Will tinting affect my defroster or rear window heater?
No — applied correctly by a professional, window film does not affect the embedded wires of your rear window heater. We take care around these elements.
How long does window tinting take?
Most passenger cars take 2–3 hours. Larger SUVs or full-vehicle tints may take 3–4 hours.
How long does window film last?
Quality film lasts 5–10 years depending on the grade and how the car is cared for. We advise on maintenance to maximise longevity.
